Twelfth (and final) in a series of twelve albums recorded and released once a month for twelve months.
I felt it was appropriate to end near where we first began, with a collection of dark ambient drones.
The first time out of the gate we paid tribute to a tiny town in the northern panhandle of WV. This time around I thought I'd honor one of my favorite composers with a record dedicated to Frédéric Chopin.
Note, unlike our reinterpretation of Satie's "Vexations" back in July, this is not a performance of any particular pieces by Chopin, rather it's a collection of ambient soundscapes that endeavor to capture the feeling of the woods at night, be they deep in the hills of West Virginia, or along the bank of a winding Polish river.
